Your Trustee Board

We are responsible for the proper running of the Reuters Pension Fund. Our duties range from the investment of assets to the correct payment of benefits. At all times we act in line with the Fund's Trust Deed and Rules. We act in the best interests of all of the Fund's beneficiaries.

Catherine Redmond

Chair of Trustee Board & Independent Trustee

Catherine is an experienced independent professional trustee with over 25 years of experience in the pensions industry. She represents BESTrustees on a range of schemes, primarily in the financial services sector, including the role of Chair of the London Stock Exchange Group Pension Scheme. Catherine is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and a fully accredited member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.

Sue Clark

Trustee (MEMBER NOMINATED)

I am a Member Nominated Trustee appointed in March 2020. I worked for Reuters from 1983 to 2002 in roles selling to clients, running sales teams and managing the sales training department. Also, working for 12 years at Aon, in the Pensions investment consulting team, I developed my pensions knowledge and understanding of the importance of the trustee role. Now, in my semi-retirement I am doing some travelling and keeping fit, and in addition to my trustee work I do voluntary work in the magistrates courts supporting witnesses.

 

Rachel Croft

Independent Trustee (company NOMINATED)

With over 20 years’ experience in pensions Rachel is a statutory director of Independent Trustee Services Limited (ITS), representing ITS as Lead Director on professional trustee appointments in relation to pension schemes with assets between £25m and over £2bn. A qualified Solicitor and Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI), she has extensive experience at a senior level of working with pension scheme trustee boards and sponsoring employers, from listed companies to privately owned businesses in a range of scenarios. Prior to joining ITS Rachel was UK Governance Leader for Mercer’s Retirement Business, bringing best practice through governance reviews and advice for schemes with assets of £1bn plus and acting as Trustee Chief Operating Officer to a £3bn scheme. Rachel holds the PMI Award in Pension Trusteeship and is a member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.

Peter Marsden

Trustee (Member nominated)

I am a Member Nominated Trustee and was appointed in February 2019. I joined Reuters in the UK in the Field Group in 1985. I spent my early years in various roles in Technology Operations and program management before starting my overseas postings in Singapore in 1995 as head of Operational Programs and then onto Asia program and product management. Since then I have worked in New York, Zug (Switzerland) and back in the US in a variety of senior technical and product roles. I left the Company (Refinitiv) at the end of 2018 to move back to the UK.

Geoffrey Sanderson

Trustee (MEMBER NOMINATED)

Re-elected as a member nominated trustee in 2021. In a career of 21 years with Reuters until 2001, I managed technical and development projects, and held a wide range of leadership positions in technical operations, regional business in the Nordic countries and UKI and global products. Since 2001, I have held directorships in a number of companies in the financial services sector and am Chairman of a registered Charity for projects in developing countries.”

Martin Vickery

Trustee (Company Nominated)

I was appointed as a company-nominated Trustee of RPF in 1998. I am Chair of the Operations Sub-Committee. I worked for Reuters for 32 years in a number of management positions which included assignments to Singapore and Bahrain before retiring from the Company in 2004 as Global Head of IT services. As a Trustee, I also network extensively outside of RPF attending pension discussion groups, presentations, training sessions and exhibitions.

 

 

Mark Harries

TRUSTEE (COMPANY NOMINATED)

I am a company-nominated Trustee and was appointed on 1 April 2023. I enjoyed a lengthy career at the London Stock Exchange where I worked for over two decades in a variety of project and general management roles, and as a member of the senior management team. I have been a Trustee Director of the London Stock Exchange Group Pension Scheme since July 2014 and have previously held a number of charity Trustee positions.
