Reuters Limited - name change

The name of the Reuters Pension Fund’s sponsoring company, Reuters Limited, has been changed to Refinitiv Limited. The change took effect at the end of February.

This is a change in name only. It is not part of any wider underlying business or structural change and there is no change to the employer covenant which supports the RPF and the Reuters Supplementary Pension Scheme. It does not affect the names of the schemes which remain Reuters Pension Fund and Reuters Supplementary Pension Scheme.

The change is in line with a general policy and branding process across Refinitiv, which is the new name of the former Financial & Risk unit of Thomson Reuters. A 55 per cent interest in F&R was sold to private equity investors in October 2018.
